Habits of Mind
We all know habits are time saving devices; Art Costa’s Habits of Mind encourage students, and teachers to approach their thinking mindfully and provide a common language of thinking for a classroom and school.
Schools across Australia have introduced and are using Habits of Mind to add a further dimension to their learning. The Crowther Centre offers expertise in the introduction of Habits of Mind to both the school and classroom setting.
Contact learning@crowther.org.au to discuss how we can assist in the introduction of the Habits of Mind at your school.

Differentiated Learning
In the differentiated classroom, teachers begin where their students are at, not from their curriculum document. A differentiated classroom aims to cater for all learners.
Differentiated instruction is the most powerful classroom practice for changing student outcomes. Teachers can differentiate content, process and product based on student readiness, interest and learning profile. A multitude of tools are available to assist teachers with differentiation.
The Crowther Centre can provide professional learning in differentiated instruction to teachers of both primary and secondary schools.
